The lift kit is under constant development, in order to increase strength and durability in all road conditions.
The kit is not only a lift kit, but also a reinforcement to the suspension parts. A more rigid and stronger suspension is vital if you put your LADA Niva to the limits.
The rear suspension … is lifted by removing the old spring-cups, and welding a spacer between the spring-cup and the rear axle beam. ‘U’-shaped brackets, welded underneath of the rear axle beam, reinforce the rear axle beam. An experienced welder and fresh paint will make the reinforcements look like your LADA Niva was born with this kit.
All connecting rods: The Panhard rod (also known as Transverse bar) The 2 Lower (long) Longitudinal bars The 2 Upper (short) Longitudinal bars … are reinforced in different ways, depending on their weaknesses. The Panhard rod is furthermore adjustable in length.
The front suspension ... is lifted by small spacers under the front spring cup + a 2 mm aluminum spacer (not shown at this picture) placed on top of the spring. Note how all spacers in the spring cup have different length and are perfectly welded to increase the strength. Even the bracket for the lower suspension arm is custom made since the spacers would have prevented it to fit. This also allows the torsion bar (anti-roll bar) to still fit.
To avoid the top coil-buffer (rubber bump) to hit the upper suspension arm, this spacer needs to be installed. New bolt are included for this part, and for the front spring cups.
The Camber- (α) and Inclination-angle (ß) would always need to be adjusted if you have disassembled the steering-system. α = 0°30’ ±20’ ß = 11°30’ Adjustment parameters are given for the vehicle loaded with 320 kg (4 persons) + 40 kg (boot luggage) This is a good opportunity to have the front suspension aligned.
Always remember to paint and protect the parts from rust. Grind the welding sligtly to make a smother surface. Sharp edges, obstacles and fragments from the welding are often where the rust starts.
