LADA Niva upgrade kits | This kit fits all LADA Niva's. In order to mount this kit, you will need to do the following: - Take out the front axels
- Weld two small brackets to the Front Suspension Crossmember

This kit is used in the LADA Niva Diesel (VAZ 21215) and the Chevy Niva Gasoline (VAZ 21??) with one and only purpose: To reduce noise. It was originally created for the LADA Niva Diesel (fitted with the engine from PSA). The front reducer housing is not able to be attached to the Diesel engine because of a different design in the engine housing, and Diesel engines are also known to vibrate with a little higher amplitude compared to Gasoline. The kit solved both problems, and were re-introduced in the development of the very popular Chevy Niva. | The kit will give your front reducer housing 4 fix-points, hence a more rigid attachment to the body of the car. The old front reducer housing only has 2 fix-points (on the engine). The kit is made with elastic sleeves (rubber) in all 4 fix-pionts. The old design does not use any elastic sleeves, and is just boltet straigt to the engine. Note, that part number 14 has been upgraded. Now it is produced in an angled version. This is a required kit, if you want to upgrade to either the PSA Diesel or build our own engine solution. Only the LADA engines are able to attach to the front reducer housing. This is why you would need an independent (independent from the engine, that is) front reducer housing mounting (or else, the front reducer housing would fall down). | | | This kit consists of original LADA parts, manufactured by AVTOVAZ. The finish of the kit is not overwhelming, it looks like the machines that is producing these parts are worn. But, most important, the kit is constructed so solid and ridgid, that it will not break or bend, nomatter how bad you treat your Niva. |
Our experience so far is, that this kit reduces the high frequency noise (compared to the noise from the propeller axles, which is of a low frequency). The noise reduction is most evident in idle, and driving at a fixed speed. Travelling long distances in the LADA Niva, were not making us as tired/exhausted as before. |
